I'm thrilled to share the remarkable day we experienced at Boys2Men Water Polo on January 13, 2024. Picture a great beach day, 44 enthusiastic kids, and an abundance of positive vibes.
Our kick-off at 10 am included a brief chat and prayer led by Simon. Prioritizing safety, we incorporated straightforward water tips – simple yet crucial.
Now, onto beach baseball, with a twist. We turned it into a constructive assessment, grading the kids based on their water skills from "Learn to Swim" to the "A Team." It wasn't just a game; it was an individual journey for each participant.
A quick note: we identified a need for better base anchoring – a valuable lesson for our next event!
After a well-deserved snack break, we organized the boys into five groups. Following that, we facilitated team selection for four engaging games. Laughter, healthy competition, and, most importantly, team bonding were the key takeaways.
Lunch, generously provided by Emil, fueled us for the next leg of our adventure. Emil's active participation embodied the community spirit that elevates these events.
The awards ceremony was a highlight, with prizes for the winning team and a special acknowledgment for Kaniel, our Player of the Game. It goes beyond the victory; it's about recognizing effort, growth, and the connections formed on the sandy shores.
A big shoutout to Karen and Leo for their set-up and cleanup efforts and Jake and Ben for their Lifeguarding duties – teamwork at its finest! Gratitude to Tasha, Simon, Christopher and Seafordfor being the backbone of this phenomenal day.
